Geboren 1987 in Berlin, studierte Dennis Lips Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Mannheim und der Tongji-Universität (Shanghai, China). Dennis Lips promovierte in Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Mannheim. In seiner Dissertation, die von Prof. Dr. Michael Woywode betreut wurde, analysierte er den Einfluss sozialer Kontexte auf die Leistung und unternehmerische Aktivität von Individuen und Teams. Im Jahr 2013 war er Gastwissenschaftler an der Graduate School of Business der Stanford University. Seit 2015 ist Dennis Lips gemeinsam mit Rupprecht Rittweger Founding Partner und Managing Director der Anyon Holding GmbH. Anyon ist ein Frühphasen-Investor, der sich auf Startups im Bereich der Immobilien-Technologie (oder "PropTech") konzentriert. Zum Portfolio von Anyon gehören unter anderem die Alasco GmbH und die Thing-it Technologies GmbH. Seit 2020 ist Dennis Lips Co-Founder und Managing Director der essentry GmbH. essentry ist ein digitales Software-Startup, das physische Identitäten in die digitale Welt überträgt, verifiziert und damit eine Vielzahl von Anwendungsfällen für seine Partner und Kunden ermöglicht. Dazu gehört zum Beispiel der vollautomatisierte und hochsichere Zugang zu kritischen Infrastruktureinrichtungen.

Born in 1987 in Berlin, Dennis Lips studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and Tongji University (Shanghai, China). Dennis Lips received his doctorate in business administration from the University of Mannheim. In his dissertation, which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Michael Woywode, he analyzed the influence of social contexts on the performance and entrepreneurial activity of individuals and teams. In 2013, he was a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Since 2015, Dennis Lips has been a founding partner and managing director of Anyon Holding GmbH together with Rupprecht Rittweger. Anyon is an early-stage investor focused on real estate technology (or "PropTech") startups. Anyon's portfolio includes Alasco GmbH and Thing-it Technologies GmbH, among others. Since 2020, Dennis Lips has been co-founder and CEO of essentry GmbH. essentry is a digital software startup that transfers physical identities into the digital world, verifies them, and thus enables a variety of use cases for its partners and customers. This includes, for example, fully automated and highly secure access to critical infrastructure facilities.
