New materials with new characteristics

Scientists at Aschaffenburg UAS are researching new materials for 3D printing, as well as innovative technologies and methods of additive manufacturing or applied photonics, for example laser-induced nanostructuring and laser material processing. New ways of surface coating make it possible to optimise the use of X-ray mirror telescopes and an adaptation of sintering technologies creates new possibilities for the production of thermostable materials.

The scientific goals in the research topic Innovative Material Processing are material processing with innovative, resource-saving technologies and the development of materials with new characteristics.
