Factors influencing the success of artificial intelligence (AI) in decision-making processes: Confidence of German private investors in investment recommendations generated by AI

The financial industry is undergoing radical change: FinTechs and AI are transforming banking advice and attracting young investors in particular, who are increasingly taking their finances into their own hands. But what influence does the source of information - human or AI - have on the trust of private investors? Our laboratory experiment investigates this in simulated advisory situations and provides new insights for theory and practice.

Artificial intelligence and its possibilities for reducing information overload in (strategic) decision-making

In the digital world, decision-makers are often faced with a flood of information that can lead to information overload and have a negative impact on decision-making performance. Artificial intelligence offers solutions by filtering, analyzing and presenting data clearly. This thesis examines how AI systems can help to effectively reduce information overload in strategic decision-making.
