Hello! My name is Silja Kotte. I am a professor of business psychology with a focus on personnel psychology.
I research and teach in particular on topics of personnel psychology - including coaching, training, group and team processes - and media psychology.
Currently, I am conducting a research project on chatbot coaching in cooperation with a Finnish start-up and Finnish and Israeli research colleagues.
Biography
After studying psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, I worked for a consulting company with a focus on international development cooperation in Hamburg and then as a human resource development manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
During this time, I completed several consulting trainings (group dynamics, supervision and coaching) and a Corporate Executive Program at the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
After completing my PhD (2010-2014) at the University of Kassel on leadership development in an international context, I continued my research as a postdoc on coaching and worked as a freelance consultant.
From 2020 to 2022, I was a professor of business psychology at HMKW University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt and have been at TH Aschaffenburg since 2022.
